Dr. Peck, her mother and her sister, have all experienced miscarriages on their journeys to motherhood. She relates and empathizes with aspiring parents experiencing similar struggles. She understands that losing a life of unknown potential can have long lasting and residual, physical, and emotional effects, while accepting that every beginning of life is purposeful and meaningful, even those that do not result in a live birth.
